The Last Starfighter (Atari 2600)

Atari created a prototype The Last Starfighter game for the Atari 2600, but it was not released under this title since it was considerably inferior to the Starfighter arcade game that appears in the film. A ROM of the original prototype has found its way to the internet, revealing that its opening screen credits a programmer with the pen name Solaris. Interestingly enough, this The Last Starfighter prototype was altered and eventually released under the title Solaris.
